Nordy Anniversary Sale: Maya’s Top Picks
Each year many of us wait for Christmas in July also known as the Nordstrom Anniversary sale. Where you can score some of your fall favorites on sale and prep your closet for fall. While in my opinion, the sale hasn't been that good in a while, there are still a few steals you can get! Everything from boots, to coats to slippers.
Below, are a few things of my top picks from the sale. While there is so much more, these items are good staple pieces for your closet and a nice edition to your fall wardrobe. So get your wish lists ready so you have all your items in one place and make checking out a breeze.
Jackets & Coats
Rose gold Puffer Coat: $129 Perfect color coat for winter to add to your closet. More than likely, you may have a puffer coat, but it’s not rose gold. lol
Blue Wool Coat: $118 Can be worn dressed up or down, but I see this being a perfect look with a tshirt, jeans and sneakers.
Tan Suede Moto Jacket: $99 This suede moto jacket is the perfect spin on the typical leather jacket. With the added belt detail, it’s a nice touch for an edgy look.
Black Leather Moto Jacket: $54 If you don’t have one, get this one! A basic leather moto jacket is needed for every closet. It’s a must have for fall and can be carried into winter. Size up if you want to wear a hoodie under the jacket for an even edgier look.
Black Shiny Puffer: $119 With an added hood feature, I can totally see this puffer worn as a rain coat to protect your head. It also comes in a bright red if you’re feeling spicy! lol
Blue Plaid Coat: $145 I actually like this wool plaid coat better as the fit and length seems better. The casual look with a wool coat is classic and simple, but you could dress this up or wear it to keep you warm in the winter months.
Boots, Slippers & Mules
Tan Pointy Toe Mules: $59 This mule comes in many colors. But this color is a neutral, fall fav of mine. For those going back in the office, this is nice work shoe option.
Black Leather Chelsea Boot: $59 A Chelsea boot of some kind is a fall must have. I have a Chelsea style rain boot that I love! With this chucky heel and platform, it’s a nice way to spice up a simple outfit and can easily become a simple throw on boot with a legging and long cardigan.
Tan Ugg Slipper: $69 With a normal price tag of $100, the Nordy Sale is a great way to get these slippers for less. The Ugg slippers have become popular recently, and many people wear them outside as everyday throw on shoes (I am not one of those people). lol This slipper also comes in many colors.
Black Western Mule: $39 For this price tag, you can’t beat it! It’s like the perfect mule to transition to fall without having to wear the summer mules with your toes out. Get this ITEM, it’s def one I’m getting. With the Western spin on it, I’ll feel like a cowgirl lol
Grey Ugg Slipper: $59 This slipper is a little cheaper than the tan pair, and also has your toes out for a little bit of air around the house. I have this pair because it was in the sale last year (see how Nordy gets lazy sometimes). But I love them so much, I may get another pair as I literally dogged mine!
Shiny Leather Combat Boot: $199 If you don’t have a simple combat boot in your closest…what are you waiting for!?! This combat boot gives a nice edgy moto touch and is perfect to wear with jeans or dresses in the fall, winter and really spring. I say every girl needs at least 3 combat boot options…build your boot collection now.
Bodysuits, Dresses, Pants and Skirts
You can’t go wrong with a detailed bodysuit and jeans, slip dresses are perfect for fall layering, skirts and boots..ummmm yesssss and the leather leggings are a must have because they are super cute with a hoodie and sneakers. And those athleisure Zella leggings are a Nordy Anniversary must have. They offer them every anniversary, and the price is great! But let me tell you, these leggings have amazing stretch, are highwaisted and offer a side pocket for holding your cell phone. You can wear them to workout or to the grocery store. Plain and simple…GET THEM!
